On the road again…
I woke up, had a great brekkie, and said goodbye to my new friends Ken and Carol. I had a great two days with them and as I said before, they are a wealth of information. The chin waggin’ was at an all-time high.
As I planned my route, with Carol’s help, I had a few choices. Do I book it down the Gold Coast Highway (M1) or do I stick with the mountains and the curvy roads? Curvy Roads won.
I started for a bit on Mt Mee in Queensland. It was fun, but there were a lot of people on the road. Passing was almost impossible. The video is short and unedited. Beautiful country!
I was on the M1 for a while getting to Byron Bay, the most eastern point in Australia. I can’t speak enough about these oceans. They are magnificent. As I made my way to the lighthouse in Byron Bay and stood on the steps of the farthest east I could reach, I looked out into the blue majesty of the waters and realized how small I am. The waters stretch on forever. You cannot see land as you gaze in the eastern distance. It feels like the end of the world! On the east side at least.
That was the last of the water for possibly the rest of my time here. You know me though; I will find it somewhere. Time to find the mountains!
As I searched through the google maps, I saw an area that piqued my interest. It was the Wild Horse Mountain Scenic Lookout. I couldn’t resist. I still have yet to see a brumby. The road was beyond primitive! It was awesome! I have a video of that ride. It is short so hopefully not too painful to watch! I probably scared the driver in the suv. I was on the wrong side of the road! LOL.
After that it was a mad dash to make it down to Coffs Harbor where I crashed early for the night. My body is definitely telling me I have been pushing hard to have this much fun.

Glad you got your videos to work.
