Back to Sydney

After leaving the bike in great hands, a fantastic meal, and chocka block of chin waggin’ it was time for me to get to Texas. I had made plans to get to Sydney for a day and a half of time for some R&R, tourist stuff, and souvenir buying for my friends and family back home. The funny thing, my duffle bag was stuffed to the brim with my gear from the bike. Boots, helmet, two riding jackets, pants, along with my normal clothes and toiletries. I had to borrow a suitcase. Graeme and Katrina had the perfect one for me. It came from Texas, and was heading back to Texas! Here is Graeme with the great pumpkin!

Off to the airport we went. I have now been everywhere since I have flown from the tiny airport in Merimbula airport!

After coffee and goodbyes with promises to see each other again soon, off I flew to Sydney. Fortunately, I got a window seat for this ride and the coastline was absolutely beautiful.

Once landing in Sydney, I grabbed an Uber to the hotel I had chosen for the last two nights. I went FANCY! I have never had my name on a TV before.

The Fullerton Hotel is in the business district where I stayed the first time I was in Sydney with Liz so everything I needed is within walking distance or with the assistance of public transportation. I decided to get all my souvenir shopping done. I got key chains, pens, magnets and a few other items for my friends and family back home. I had people asking for a shirt from here or there and I had to look at those people and ask them, “You know I am going to be on a motorcycle, right?” If they want something more, they can get off their butts and come get it themselves. It is to pretty here for pictures, you have to experiance it!

I even followed the footsteps of my friend, Liz, and got some tasty snacks that are definitely Australia. I can’t wait to get home to show my parents!

I got back to the hotel early and low and behold, it has a very deep bathtub. Wine purchased and dinner ate, I sunk into the tub with a glass of wine to soak my bones. Trust me, I will use it again before I leave.

This is a short blog for a long day but trust me, I needed to crash, tomorrow would be a lot of walking to finish off my list that I didn’t get done the first time!
