What the Flying Fox???
Today is my final day in Coolum Beach. Today is beach and browsing day. Carol was an excellent tour guide as we walked to the beach she named the different flora around the area.
We walked to the beach and what was once an overcast morning turned into a beautiful sunshining day. The beach goers were sparse! The waves were choppy (I should be used to this by now) and the pull when they receded was very powerful! I did take the paralenz into the water, unfortunately with all the wave action, there is a great video of sandy water! I encourage you to watch to the end though as the wave pulls back. It is kinda cool. Made me smile anyway!
With the choppy water, we didn’t stay long in the water. It had a very strong pull out to sea. Beautiful but deadly.
I have had some losses on the road so after Carol and I rinsed off the salt water, we wandered around the shops looking for a hairbrush. Mine committed suicide after repeatedly being dropped and crammed into a very small saddlebag! Trust me, when I come back next year, I am bringing bigger bags! We went to the dollar shop and I was able to replace my missing items. On the walk back to the house, Carol was excited to show me the flying foxes, if we could see them. And see them we did!!!
After a delicious dinner, I crashed to wake up early for the ride down to take my bike to it’s storage place for a bit till I get back!
