Sorry folks, the previous hotel’s wifi was down so I was unable to provide updates to the progress of this journey. Trust me, Wyndem knows my displeasure.
So upon leaving Mansfield the route was picked and off to Healesville Sanctuary we went. Now for the most part, I am not a fan of zoos. In most zoos the animals seem bored, or lonely, however, this was possibly the only chance to see Australia’s eclectic mix of marsupials. I vowed on this trip to see a platypus. I was about to type duck-billed platypus but that would make me stand out as a foreigner. You only say platypus here! We also paid for the extra encounters to get up and close to the critters. I now want an echidna. The following are pictures from the zoo.
Frogmouth
Back home we have egrets and blackbirds flying by the thousands. Here it is a cockatoo.
Me and an older dingo. She was sweet but also aloof.

Interesting, Why not name the animals in the pictures?
I have tried to move the blocking to not inhibit the photo to no avail. I will edit the page when I get a chance to post the names of the birds and animals.
That aloof baby eating dingo!
